Altaf Hussain’s Stinking Melodrama

By Dr. Hassan Isfahani • Apr 12th, 2008 • Category: Politics • One Response

One has to give it to the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Chief, Altaf Hussain. The way he attracts media attention and the way he produces strange eons from his hat is really astonishing.

Altaf Hussain resigns at one hour, in the next hour other MQM leaders insists his return, and in the next hour Altaf Hussain resumes his chief position. Meanwhile all sort of drama goes on. The whole of Karachi city threatens to go on hunger strike till death if Altaf remains out of MQM affairs, and good ol’e Altaf finds himself no choice but to return to “service” the Karachi city.

Yes Karachi would be clueless without the terrorism of MQM. If there would be no torching, murders, kidnapping and black-mailing, then who would want to live in a city like that?

Oh yes, by the way, I agree with Altaf Hussain Bhai that MQM failed to keep the city safe and secure on 9th April. The reason was that MQM could do only one thing in one time. Either it could torch and kill the city, or it could save it. And MQM opted for the former.
