On discussing with a lawyer 18th amendment has been disclosed as an indirect way of legalizing NRO which was rejected by Supreme Court as danger for Pakistan's solemnity & a visible no of Meer Jafar/Meer Sadiq lobby of political filth. But the way constitution is being destroyed trying to make it a rubber stamp whenever & wherever required behind this amendment is visible. Our political filth is busy trying to attain the levels of poverty & lack of resources to obtain loans from US/IMF/W.B but political instability being a big issue all are trying to stabilize all their dogmatism so that bribe from US & international finance institutes goes on & they may destroy Pakistan one way or the other. But will this do? May Allah protect Pakistan from any further destruction of Nang E Millat, Nang E Deen, Nang E Watan group.

EDUCATION! We should focus on this now. Once education is common in all parts of the country we will be able to cater problems such as violence and extremism as well. Awareness of our religion is also important especially in rural areas.

The PPP came into power when the economic giants like US and the Middle East were terribly suffering from the economic crunch. Though there have been unpopular decisions which he has the guts to admit for the betterment of the future even at the expense of his popularity. Any sane person would agree on that providing electricity is not a matter of days and controlling inflation is not a matter of months when the economy stands strained by terrorism and the global recession. As far as his promises on the constitutional front were concerned, he outsmarted all. I have hope that the next three years will now push us towards betterment in terms of the daily lives of the people. Given that the democratic government is allowed space to work. There is no point denying the fact that there are a thousand black sheep in and outside the PPP, but I have hope in the leadership of Asif Zardari.

At least history was made by PPP and Out of the 272 Articles of the constitution, 102 have been amended by the mammoth exercise conducted by the Constitutional Reforms Committee (CRC) under Senator Raza Rabbani.. A mere listing of these provisions indicates how wide ranging and thorough have been the labors of the CRC. It virtually reads like a capsule history of the country viewed through the prism of its problems, the damage done by military dictators, and giving voice to the aspirations of federating units as well as the citizen. Nevertheless, the passing of the 18th Amendment has been widely welcomed across the board by political forces as well as the people. Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani, immeasurably and rightly empowered by the Amendment’s provisions, put its success down to the politics of reconciliation his party has been adhering to in line with the philosophy and thoughts of their slain leader, Benazir Bhutto.
We must await the fate of the Amendment in the Senate, although the chances are it will sail through, if not unanimously, at least with sufficient votes. History is being made before our eyes. We must all now rise to the challenges of carrying democracy and service to the people to their logical ends.

I agree it’s time to move on to more important issues such as the rehabilitation of IDP’s and revising the infrastructure in FATA. The success of our military operation must not be wasted as we need to initiate a broad based development program which provides education, awareness and empowerment to the people of FATA. We need to reforms the local security apparatus so that the Taliban cannot return to these areas once the army leaves.

I think this 18th amendment was not a small task. Now all our leaders must focus on Water and Power related issues.

MUSHARRAF VS JAMHORIAT

MUSHARRAF JAMHOORIAT (AS OF 1ST SEPT.2009)
AATA RS. 13 RS.31
SUGAR RS.21 RS. 56
PETROL RS. 54 RS. 61
BIKE RS. 32000 RS. 45000
A/C RS. 20000 RS. 33000
FRIDGE RS.14000 RS. 24000
TV RS.3200 RS. 4800
US$ RS.58 RS.83

Mind it these figures are from Musharraf's worst enemey i.e., Geo (Kamran Khan)

I think this reflects the incompetency, mismanagement of economic affairs, lack of good goverence, nepotism, corrupt mindset and insincerity of the present govt.

Please don't take me wrong if it was Nawaz League the country's economic situation would have been worst than this.
Ishaq Dar is equally responsible for this debacle as second day of his assuming power in a meeting with World Bank he lied about the Pakistan Economy (just in the animosity of Musharraf) but it gave devastating effects to Pakistan economy which PPP govt. is suffering now.
